Welcoming hosts who were very helpful (offering us a pot of after we arrived) and knowledgeable about the area. Children loved the american style pancakes and sitting next to fire after breakfast.

We had a break over Christmas as part of a family get together. Laston House was very conveniently located in relation to where other family members were staying/living. The property is undergoing what appear to be lomg awaited alterations as the new tenants are bringing it up to date but this did not detract from our visit. It is potentially an excellent establishment. Read less

We were made to feel very welcome. We had a choice of rooms as the hotel was not full, and were invited to look around in case we wanted to stay again. There was a lovely family atmosphere.
Dislikes:
Not really. The car parking area was a bit sticky in all the rain but that will surely be dealt with before too long.

I loved the bed! The linen was of a very good quality, home from home! The rooms were warm and cozy too!
Dislikes:
Just wished the shower had been more powerful, but that is such a small niggle that it's not really worth a mention. On balance, we have no complaints.

Good toiletries in the room and a well cooked breakfast. No unnecessary frills makes for comfort on a budget. The kids were welcomed and felt very much at home. We will definitely be staying again. The position, tucked away in its own attractive grounds, with sea views, and just a short pleasant walk away from the harbour. Plenty of car parking. Very friendly hosts. A comfortable bed!
